Study on perceiving blocks of emotional sound

Individuals ages 18-40 are needed to participate in a study on perception of emotional sounds. Participants must be nonsmokers with normal hearing and vision (contacts or glasses are OK); no history of diabetes, heart attack or stroke; and no speech, language, reading, cognitive or neurological disorder.
Participants will be paid $15 per hour for one session, approximately one hour long (maximum of 1.5 hours). The study involves listening to sounds designed to evoke a variety of emotional responses. The noise is presented at levels below those known to be harmful to hearing.
